| HAPPY SCHOOL CELEBRATES FOREST DAY |
|
Middle department of Happy School, Daryaganj celebrated ‘Forest Day’ on 3rd September 2011 as its contribution to the ‘International Year of Forest 2011’. A beautiful and huge logo of the year was prepared and displayed in the corridor of the department which caught everyone’s attention. Vibrant and wondrous variety in our eco-system was depicted through articles prepared by students. Each class was given a topic for their display board which covered various aspects of forest life e.g. the regulating services, supporting services, cultural services & valuable products obtained from forests. A complete picture of our flora and fauna was presented through bio diversity stored by our forests. A pledge to protect forests was also administered by each class. All the students of Middle department participated in the event with great zest. It was a joint effort of students and staff to protect the green gold decorates our mother earth.
The Pledge which was administered in all the classes is as follows: |
| INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF FOREST, 2011 |
I solemnly pledge that “I will protect and conserve the forests and
also promise to educate future generations so that, they may become
caretakers of our water, air, forests and wildlife.”
I promise to make every possible effort to wipe out the tears of our
grieving mother earth and removing the carbon footprints left by
callous human race. I’ll snatch the axe from each which hurts a
tree. I again pledge to protect the green gold for next generation. |
